Assembly Technician / Engineering Technician

Salary: basic salary of up to £32,000

Assembly Technician / Engineering Technician

This is a great opportunity for an experienced Assembly Technician to join a successful medical engineering and manufacturing business based on the outskirts of Aylesbury. 

The Assembly Technician will work a 37-hour week and will report directly into the Production Manager. You will be ensuring all of the company products are built correctly, with the use of engineering drawings and instructions, in a timely, and quality-focused manner.

You will occasionally be required to do assembly with occasional test and fault finding on their products. The products are mostly electronic/electrical, however there are some mechanical components involved too.

In terms of requirements, they are looking for keen and attentive individuals who are looking to accelerate their learning and skill set. You will need to have good timekeeping skills, a good communicator and of course have a strong engineering and technical background.

The business are open to hearing from individuals who are very experienced, but also love to hear from applicants who have limited experience but a passion for technology, perhaps with some level of technical education.

Assembly Technician Requirements

  • Experience working in a manufacturing / production environment
  • Technical engineering knowledge or experience
  • A formal technical education
  • Good electronic/electrical engineering skills, but also mechanical knowledge
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with potting compounds is advantageous
  • Able to keep clear, accurate and traceable records for all products dealt with
  • Driven and reliable
