Senior Compliance Engineer
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Compliance Engineer to support and lead technical compliance activities across a diverse range of products and global markets. This role plays a critical part in ensuring all products meet applicable regulatory, safety, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, practical experience with testing and regulatory approvals, and a deep understanding of relevant EU and international compliance frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
Interpret, create, and review technical documentation and engineering drawings to ensure regulatory compliance.
Support technically complex type approval applications for global markets.
Conduct technical document reviews and provide feedback for internal and external stakeholders.
Perform sample screening and verification for compliance and regulatory accuracy.
Undertake technical research and provide detailed findings to support regulatory strategies.
Respond to technical queries from test laboratories and support ongoing testing activities.
Collaborate with engineering and compliance teams to resolve technical and regulatory challenges effectively.
Use testing and measurement equipment to validate product compliance during design and pre-compliance phases.
Stay up to date with evolving compliance requirements and advise teams on EU directives, FCC regulations, and RED standards.
Qualifications and Experience
Degree in Engineering, Technical, or Scientific.
Strong technical background, ideally with practical experience in electronics and EMC.
Working knowledge of the RF regulatory landscape.
Good understanding of EU (CE, RED) and FCC testing standards.
Familiarity with RED (Radio Equipment Directive) compliance requirements.
Global Market Access knowledge is preferred but not essential.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, particularly in resolving technical and regulatory issues.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to interpret complex technical data and requirements.
Experience supporting certification and test processes in regulated environments is a plus.
