Location: Aylesbury (within 50 miles) with extensive UK travel
Salary: Up to £50,000 basic (depending on location/experience)

The Role

We’re recruiting for a Mobile Piling Engineer to join a specialist engineering team supporting piling rigs and associated plant equipment across the UK. This role will suit a hands-on engineer who enjoys problem solving, working on varied sites, and has strong mechanical, hydraulic and electrical ability.

You’ll be travelling nationwide, including frequent stays away, often at short notice. If you’re someone who can live out of a suitcase and thrives in a fast-paced environment, this is a brilliant opportunity.

Responsibilities

  • Service, maintain and repair piling rigs and associated equipment

  • Fault finding and diagnostics on hydraulic systems, electrical systems and control systems

  • On-site breakdown response across the UK

  • Carrying out planned maintenance and inspections to reduce downtime

  • Completing job reports and compliance documentation

  • Supporting customers and site teams with technical advice

  • Working safely and professionally on customer sites

Requirements

  • Strong experience in hydraulics and electrics (essential)

  • Piling experience not required (training provided), but experience with heavy plant / construction equipment is ideal

  • CAN Bus knowledge highly beneficial

  • Ability to travel extensively across the UK and stay away with little notice

  • Strong fault finding skills and a practical attitude

  • Full UK driving licence
