Job Title: Purchasing Team Leader

Location: Aylesbury

Contract Details: Permanent, Full-Time, Office based

Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm or 9am - 6pm (1 hour lunch break)

Salary: 30,000 - 35,000 per annum

Responsibilities:
As the Purchasing Team Leader, you will:

  • Lead and support a team of 2 Purchasing Assistants
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers
  • Analyse market trends to select and purchase products
  • Order daily to ensure optimal stock levels
  • Create and manage purchase orders and related paperwork
  • Track orders and ensure timely delivery
  • Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams
  • Communicate with management regarding stock shortfalls
  • Continuously improve purchasing procedures for efficiency

Essential Skills:

  • Relevant purchasing experience is preferred
  • Excellent computer skills, particularly in Excel and Microsoft Word
  • Strong analytical approach to tasks
  • Exceptional communication skills
  • Outstanding organisational capabilities
  • Ability to thrive under deadlines and responsibilities
