The school is seeking to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic English Teacher to join their team from September 2025. About the Role:

  • Teach English across Key Stages 3 and 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5 depending on experience and department needs.

  • Deliver dynamic, engaging, and challenging lessons that inspire students and support high levels of attainment.

  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress in line with school and national expectations.

  • Participate in departmental planning, moderation, and development sessions.

  • Contribute to the wider school community, including after-school clubs, enrichment programmes, and whole-school events.

Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent internationally recognised teaching qualification.

  • A relevant degree in English, English Literature, or a closely related subject.

  • Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting, including curriculum planning and assessment.

  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
