Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are seeking a dedicated and experienced SENCO to join a thriving and inclusive school community in Bourne End.

  Responsibilities:
  • Lead and manage the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)

  • Develop, implement and monitor individual support plans (EHCPs) tailored to student needs

  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, support staff, parents/carers, and external agencies

  • Ensure compliance with the SEND Code of Practice and maintain accurate records

  • Promote inclusive teaching practices and provide training/support to staff on SEN strategies

  • Monitor and report on the progress of pupils with SEND, ensuring high expectations and outcomes

  Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK

  • National Award for SEN Coordination (or willingness to complete)

  • Proven experience working with students with SEND

  • Strong understanding of SEN legislation and inclusive education practices

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills

  • A passion for supporting the learning and development of all students
