The Edwin Group is seeking experienced SEND Youth Workers to work in a forward-thinking school that caters to students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. 

About the role:

  • The Youth Worker will be supporting children and young people with Special Educational Needs on a one-to-one basis.
  • Building a strong rapport with students and supporting with their complex medical needs.
  • Following the guidance of the teacher but using their own initiative to help the students thrive in school.
  • Working 30 – 37 hours per week, term-time only.
  • Have the choice of working with primary or secondary aged children.

About you:

  • A relevant Qualification such as Childcare, Health and Social Care
  • Able to obtain suitable references and a valid DBS check*
  • Experience working with children with challenging behaviours and backgrounds.
  • A non-judgmental and caring approach with a resilient and resourceful character.
