This position oversees the end-to-end supply chain function, managing a team that includes:

  • Warehouse Manager
  • Demand Planning Manager

The role ensures the efficient operation of the company’s product supply chain, from factory procurement through to customer delivery, while maintaining compliance with internal procedures and external regulations. Third-party support may be required for certain compliance areas.

Regular travel to Manchester is expected, along with occasional international travel, including annual visits to suppliers abroad.

Key Responsibilities

Distribution Centre Management

  • Oversee site facilities to ensure full compliance with relevant legislation
  • Implement procedures to mitigate risk of product loss or theft
  • Manage performance of third-party transport providers
  • Continuously assess and improve inbound and outbound logistics strategies
  • Authorise use of additional warehousing or transport for exceptional business needs
  • Monitor departmental performance against evolving business objectives
  • Ensure all team members are adequately trained and supported in their roles
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture across departments and locations
  • Manage agency staffing for cover and promotional activities as needed

Supply Chain Operations

  • Lead the supply chain process from importation to final delivery
  • Oversee receipt, storage, and picking of all finished goods and materials
  • Maintain robust stock control procedures across all storage locations
  • Deliver against key performance indicators including:
  • Picking accuracy
  • Stock check accuracy
  • Delivery accuracy
  • Individual pick rates

General & Strategic Duties

  • Control monthly departmental expenditure within agreed budgets
  • Support cross-functional business projects as directed
  • Uphold confidentiality and data integrity at all times
  • Lead by example, setting high standards for professionalism and accountability
