Gluing Machine Operator

Full-time | Maidstone | Competitive Salary + Benefits

We are seeking an experienced Gluing Machine Operator to join our growing production team. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where safety, quality, and efficiency are key priorities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and run gluing machines efficiently while meeting safety, quality, and productivity targets
  • Complete accurate data entry and administration using business information management systems
  • Carry out quality checks in line with company standards
  • Identify, resolve, or report maintenance issues following departmental procedures
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working area, including machines, tooling, and equipment
  • Undertake general machine maintenance and advise the Supervisor of consumable stock needs
  • Use appropriate equipment to prepare materials for production
  • Support training and development of Apprentices and Assistants within the department
  • Follow all company processes, procedures, and certification requirements
  • Carry out additional duties as requested by the management team

Skills and Attributes:

  • Proven experience operating gluing machines such as Diana, Starfold, or Omega
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work independently
  • Able to prioritise multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure
  • Confident, enthusiastic, and keen to learn through continuous training
  • Clear communicator with strong interpersonal and organisational abilities
  • Experience in the packaging sector is desirable
  • A methodical, logical, and organised approach to work
