Are you a CNC Miller with a passion for precision engineering and a background in high-integrity components?

I'm working exclusively on behalf of a leading precision engineering company renowned for delivering world-class components to the Oil & Gas sector. Due to continued growth and a healthy order book, they are now seeking a skilled CNC Miller to join their high-performing team.

The Opportunity:

This is a hands-on, workshop-based role where you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating 3,4 and 5 axis CNC Mills using Fanuc controls, producing small batches of high-spec components to tight tolerances (typically 0.025mm or better).

You'll be working with materials such as steel, stainless steel, Duplex, and high-temperature alloys-ideal for someone who thrives on technical variety and enjoys a challenge.

What's in it for you?

  • Hourly Rate: From 19.26 per hour (negotiable DOE)

  • Backshift Allowance: +30%

  • Quarterly Bonus Scheme: Recently paid over 750 per person

  • Hours: 39-hour week (2-week rotating shifts)

    • Days: Mon-Thurs: 6am-2:30pm | Fri: 6am-1pm

    • Backshift: Mon-Wed: 2:30pm-1am | Thurs: 2:30pm-12am

  • Holidays: 30 days (including a full Christmas shutdown)

  • Pension: 4% employer / 4% employee contribution

  • Clean, well-organised machine shop with a supportive team culture

The Role:

  • Program, set and operate CNC lathes (Fanuc) for low-volume, high-precision production.

  • Machine critical components used in Oil & Gas applications.

  • Work with exotic materials including Duplex and high-temp alloys.

  • Interpret engineering drawings and machine to tight tolerances.

  • Conduct in-process inspection using measurement equipment.

  • Liaise with engineering and production teams to meet targets and maintain workflow.

  • Perform basic machine maintenance and support continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven background as a CNC Machinist (Turner) - minimum 3+ years.

  • Confident programming, setting, and operating lathes with Fanuc controls.

  • Experience working to precision tolerances (within 0.025mm).

  • Familiarity with steels, stainless, Duplex, and exotic alloys.

  • A quality-focused mindset with a commitment to continuous improvement.

  • Previous experience in Oil & Gas or similar high-integrity sectors is beneficial.
