Laser Setter / Operator

Job Title: Laser Setter / OperatorLocation: Bacup, LancashireHours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 4:30pmPay Rate: Up to £15.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Company Overview:We are a growing engineering and fabrication company located in Bacup, specialising in precision manufacturing and metalwork. We are currently seeking an experienced Laser Setter/Operator to join our production team, operating Amada CNC laser machines and supporting general CNC operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set and operate Amada CNC laser cutting machines

• Operate other laser machines such as Adige or similar as required

• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately

• Load and unload materials safely and efficiently

• Perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting on laser machines

• Ensure all work meets quality and safety standards

• Maintain a clean and organised work environment

• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production targets

Requirements:

• Proven experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (Adige, Amada, or similar)

• Ability to read and work from detailed engineering drawings

• Strong understanding of CNC operations and general fabrication processes

• Good attention to detail and commitment to precision

• Reliable and punctual with good communication skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
