Rates as per MPS/UPS plus TLR 1 ( minimum of 9,782 to a maximum of 16,553)

About the role:
  • Help staff grow: Create and put in place a plan to develop department staff, setting clear goals each year based on how they're currently performing.
  • Improve teaching: Develop and share excellent teaching methods across the school to help all students achieve more in the subject.
  • Boost results: Keep and improve how well students do in the subject by using new and creative ways to check their learning.
  • Update what's taught: Develop and manage the introduction of new or changed course content.
  • Support other teachers: Help develop teaching skills in the department, offering support when needed.
  • Offer extra help: Plan and run extra learning sessions before or after school to support all students' progress.
  • Learn and lead: Show a commitment to your own and others' professional growth by participating in and leading training.
  • Work with others: Connect with different people inside and outside the school to help students in the department succeed.
  • Involve parents: Work with parents to make sure students' learning continues at home.
