About the RoleWe are looking for a highly motivated and values-driven Accounts Assistant to join our client's team on a part-time, fixed-term basis. This hybrid role, based north of Derby, offers flexibility and the opportunity to make a real impact within a supportive and purpose-led organisation. Reporting directly to the Director of Finance, you’ll play a key role in supporting the finance function with a strong focus on accuracy, initiative, and integrity.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain and update financial records using Xero
- Process supplier invoices, payments, and staff expenses
- Perform bank reconciliations and assist with month-end reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow tracking
- Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
- Identify and implement process improvements where appropriate
- Proven experience in a similar finance or accounts role
- Strong working knowledge of Xero is essential
- High levels of initiative and the ability to work independently
- Excellent attention to detail and time management
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
