This is within a close-knit practice, with a great office culture, experiencing consistent organic growth. They are offering a full time or part time opportunity for an experienced Payroll Manager, offering up to £45,000, annual bonuses, pension contribution, and more

Payroll Manager Job Overview- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for multiple clients across various industries.
- Ensure accurate and timely preparation of fortnightly, and monthly payrolls.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and current payroll legislation.
- Manage payroll elements such as starters, leavers, holiday pay, pension deductions, and statutory payments (SMP, SPP, SAP, SSP).
- Prepare and submit RTI submissions, P45s, P60s, and year-end reports.
- Oversee pension auto-enrolment duties and liaise with pension providers.
- Respond to payroll queries from clients and resolve discrepancies effectively.
- Maintain accurate payroll records and update internal systems.
- Manager set up and closure or PAYE schemes
- Liaise with the accountancy team and external bodies, including HMRC.
- Keep up to date with changes in payroll legislation and best practices.
- Record time accurately on timesheets
- Proven experience in payroll management, ideally within an accountancy practice.
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and compliance.
- Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., Sage Payroll, Xero).
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Strong communication and client management abilities, including intermediate proficiency in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- CIPP qualification (desirable but not essential).
- Able to commute to Baldock

- Competitive salary range, from £40,000-45,000 (depending on experience)
