We are currently hiring Welders for an industry leader in UK’s Building Services sector. This opportunity has the potential for successful candidates to develop and retain further skills within numerous welding, fabrication, and preparation disciplines.

Hours: Monday-Thursday 07:00-17:00 Friday 07:00-16:00 (44 hours)

Rate/Salary: Competitive rates - dependant on experience with OT available at 1.5

Location: Banbridge

Job Summary

To weld a range of pipe configurations that will support a team of skilled Fabricators and Assembly teams.


Key Responsibilities

  • To operate MIG welding equipment 
  • To read/interpret drawings.
  • Use precision measurement instruments
  • Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment
  • Responsible for highlighting any faults or damage to the machine and its tooling
  • Clean tools, equipment, and work areas
  • Maintain a safe working environment 
  • To undertake training in line with company standards 
  • Always maintain a good working relationship with colleagues, whilst maintaining a high level of productivity
  • Any other duties deemed necessary by Management.  

Requirements:

Essential:

  • Previous experience in Fabrication and welding with general and pipe welding
  • Previous experience in welding preparation and fit up
  • Previous experience in MIG welding processes to high standards
  • Experience in reading, interpreting, and working to Welding procedures  
  • Competent using measurement instruments, Fillet gauges etc
  • Ability to manage workload and meet project deadlines.

 Desirable:

  • Heavy or structural Fabrication experience 
  • Welding qualifications in MMA, MAG or TIG
  • Abrasive wheel training
