Our client are a leading manufacturing business currently undergoing a period of operational transformation. They are looking for an experienced Senior Finance Business Partner to support the Head of Transformation and Head of Finance on a 6-month (minimum) fixed term contract.  This is a commercially focused role, supporting critical decision-making on cost efficiency projects, capital investment, and value creation initiatives. You will play a key role in delivering robust financial insight and governance during a period of strategic change.  Based in Banbury, you'll initially work onsite 3-4 days a week, before reverting to 1 day per week after an initial set up period.Key Responsibilities
  • Work with manufacturing sites to understand and validate current cost structures, creating a consistent financial baseline.
  • Build and maintain the business case for transformation projects, including efficiency assessments, Capex modelling, and ongoing cost implications.
  • Analyse and track one-off and recurring transformation costs, ensuring full alignment with relevant budget owners across the business.
  • Support supplier negotiations through detailed cost/benefit analysis and financial modelling.
  • Develop and monitor key financial metrics for transformation projects and provide insightful reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Ensure close collaboration with the wider finance team, facilitating alignment on progress, budgetary impact, and decision-making.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that the financial implications of all initiatives are clearly understood and communicated.
Knowledge & ExperienceEssential:
  • Strong financial acumen, with a deep understanding of financial analysis, cost management, and value creation.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking aligned with broader business objectives.
  • High level of commercial awareness and the ability to support and influence cross-functional teams.
  • Organised, disciplined, and delivery-focused.
Desirable:
  • ACA, CIMA or ACCA qualified with significant post-qualification experience in a site manufacturing environment
  • Proven track record in a finance leadership or senior business partnering role.
  • Experience working on complex transformation projects to tight deadlines.
  • Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to influence at all levels of the organisation.
  • Articulate communicator – clear, persuasive, and instructional when required.
  • Sets high standards for themselves and motivates others to meet them.
