A Key Support Role in a Growing Import & Distribution Business

I’m recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run import and distribution company based in Banbury, with over 20 years of success in the equestrian and agricultural supply sector.

They’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Operations Administrator to join their small, friendly team. This person will be the key link between sales and operations, ensuring smooth communication and coordination across the business.

As Operations Administrator, you’ll be central to day-to-day operations — supporting order processing, inventory coordination, and supplier communication. You’ll help maintain the accuracy and flow of information between departments and keep everything running like clockwork.

Key Responsibilities
  • Be the key liaison between the sales and warehouse/operations teams
  • Manage daily order processing and update internal systems (ERP – Unleashed)
  • Coordinate inbound shipments and maintain clear delivery schedules
  • Support with supplier communications and purchase order tracking
  • Assist with stock monitoring, basic forecasting, and data entry
  • Identify and resolve operational admin issues to support strong OTIF performance
  • Provide general admin support across the operations and logistics functions
  • Occasionally assist with container booking and warehouse admin when needed
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Previous experience in an admin or coordination role, ideally in a supply chain, logistics, or operations setting
  • Confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks with accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset – willing to spot issues and take initiative to resolve them
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (experience with Unleashed is a bonus)
  • Good working knowledge of Excel and basic reporting tools
  • Friendly, flexible team player with a hands-on approach
