Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

4 week shift rotating, Monday to Friday early (6-2), days (8-4) and afternoons (2-10). Sunday to Thursday nights (10-6)
51,000 raising to 58,000 after passing probation period

We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance engineer based in Banbury to join our fast paced engineering department in our packaging company.

The Maintenance will:

Carry out preventive and reactive maintenance on a wide range of mechanical and packaging equipment, including conveyors, fillers, wrappers, sealers, and labellers.
Diagnose faults and repair breakdowns quickly and safely to minimise production downtime.
Support continuous improvement projects focused on equipment reliability, line efficiency, and product quality.
Collaborate with production, electrical, and process teams to maintain seamless operations.
Maintain detailed maintenance records and adhere to all Health & Safety and Quality standards
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, including hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, pumps, conveyors, and packaging automation equipment.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and engineering drawings.
A proactive, solution-focused approach with excellent attention to detail and safety awareness

Candidate

Recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (HNC, NVQ, or equivalent).
Proven experience in a maintenance or engineering role within a packaging, manufacturing, or FMCG environment.
