Training Department Support Officer X 2

Location: Just outside of Banbury, Oxfordshire / Type: Full-time / Temporary to cover ongoing sickness / Start Date: ASAP /Driving Licence Highly Desirable

This role is working Monday to Friday 9am - 5pm

Pay - 14 per hour


A respected UK charity is seeking a highly organised and empathetic individual to join its Training Department as a Support Officer. This is a varied and rewarding role supporting life-enhancing services and volunteer programs across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Act as the first point of contact for public enquiries via phone, email, and in person.
  • Administer applications for service users and volunteers across multiple programs.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to departmental teams and managers.
  • Offer guidance to clients and volunteers on practical matters including insurance, access, and aftercare.
  • Organise training courses, workshops, and public information sessions.
  • Support the delivery of regional and national charity events.
  • Maintain accurate records and produce departmental statistics.
  • Assist with documentation updates and digital platform development.
  • Ensure GDPR compliance and manage insurance-related administration.
  • Handle departmental ordering, invoicing, donations, and expenses.
  • Support emergency management and transition processes.
  • Draft correspondence and oversee mailing operations.
  • Carry out other administrative duties as required.

Key Skills & Experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access) and database systems.
  • Strong understanding of GDPR and data protection.
  • Excellent communication skills across diverse audiences.
  • Empathetic, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
  • Flexible and able to embrace change and solve problems effectively.
  • Team player with a proactive attitude.

Requirements
  • Full UK Driving Licence is highly desirable
  • Understanding of safeguarding principles and their application
