Role Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable religious studies teacher to join the team. This permanent role is perfect for someone passionate different religions and cultures of the world, their history and how it has shaped religion today.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging and effective religious studies lessons in line with the national curriculum. 
  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback. 
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment. 
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share teaching strategies. 
  • Participate in school activities and events. 
  • Build positive relations with each class to encourage engagement.  
  • Communicate with parents about behaviour if necessary and on parent’s evenings. 

Requirements: 

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. 
  • Experience in teaching religious studies at the secondary level. 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Ability to inspire and motivate students. 
  • A commitment to continuous professional development.
