Job Title: Experienced TIG Welder

Location:Banbury Oxfordshire

Salary:27,000 - 29,500

Job Type:Full-time, Permanent

The Role:We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced TIG Welder for our client based in Banbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality welds on a variety of materials and thicknesses, primarily using the Tungsten Inert Gas (TIG) welding process. This role demands exceptional attention to detail, a strong commitment to quality, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform TIG welding on a range of materials including, but not limited to, stainless steel, aluminium, and mild steel.
  • Set up and operate welding equipment, adjusting settings as required for optimal performance.
  • Fabricate and assemble components according to design specifications.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with other team members, engineers, and supervisors to ensure project deadlines are met.
  • Identify and resolve welding issues, escalating complex problems to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct routine maintenance on welding equipment.

About You:

  • Proven experience as a TIG Welder in a manufacturing or fabrication environment.
  • Demonstrable expertise in welding various materials, particularly stainless steel.
  • Strong understanding of welding procedures, techniques, and quality control.
  • Possession of relevant welding qualifications/certifications (e.g., City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 in Fabrication & Welding, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to work accurately and efficiently under pressure.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • A strong commitment to health and safety.
