Are you a hands-on Maintenance Technician with both mechanical and electrical skills? Pertemps is proud to be recruiting on behalf of our client for a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to join a dynamic team at a busy manufacturing site in Banbury.

About the Role

This is a site-based role focused on ensuring maximum equipment availability for production processes. You'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, respond to breakdowns, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives all while maintaining the highest standards of health & safety and food quality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide effective emergency response for equipment breakdowns
  • Diagnose faults and implement long-term corrective actions
  • Collaborate with equipment users to develop sustainable solutions
  • Perform routine planned maintenance across all site equipment
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Maintain clear and meaningful handover notes
  • Conduct risk assessments and issue permits to work

Qualifications & Skills:
  • ONC or equivalent in mechanical/electrical engineering (primary skill)
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a secondary core skill
  • 17th Edition Certificate (desirable)
  • Previous experience in a maintenance role, ideally within food manufacturing
  • Knowledge of PLCs (preferably Siemens)
  • Familiarity with permits to work and lock-off procedures
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting abilities
  • Proficient in reading technical documents and using maintenance software
  • Excellent communication, time management, and teamwork skills
