Financial ControllerBangorMonday – FridayThe Financial Controller is responsible for safeguarding the assets of the Company and ensuring financial integrity, control, and continuous improvement of financial  systems  and  processes. This position  is responsible for assuring that all financial transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely fashion to allow executive management to make informed business decisions.Financial Management and Reporting:Oversee the processing of all invoice payments and client transactionsMaintains comprehensive and accurate financial records using accounting softwareOversee reconciled bank accounts and credit cards, ensuring accuracy and completenessTeam Leadership and Management:Supervises finance and accounting functions, ensuring effective team performance and adherence to policiesAssigns and allocate tasks based on team members' strengths to optimize   operational efficiencyMonitors the daily performance of the accounting department, setting clear objectives for performanceMentors and develops the finance/accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvementModels’ behavior consistent with CORE values, setting the same expectations for their teamProcess Improvement and Policy Development:Works with leadership to suggest and strategically develop internal  policies and procedures to improve departmental efficiency and effectivenessIdentifies and address areas for process enhancement, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all financial operationsCollaboration and Strategic Input:Works closely with senior management to provide insights and recommendations based on financial data analysisSupports strategic decision-making with detailed financial analysis and reportingFosters and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfactionCompliance and Additional Duties:Maintains knowledge of current and emerging regulations within assigned areas, including changes in lawsEnsures compliance with relevant financial regulations and standardsPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Education and Experience:     
  • Bachelor’s degree in related discipline is required
  • Master’s degree in a relevant discipline is a plus
  • Must have extensive experience in financial management and accounting
  • A minimum of eight (8) years of experience in a related position is required
  • Prior experience in a supervisory role is required
