Senior Civil Engineer

Location: North Wales

A great opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join a growing multidisciplinary consultancy in North Wales. This role is ideal for an engineer who enjoys delivering high quality civil engineering design, coordinating with multiple stakeholders, and supporting the development of junior team members. You will play a key role in shaping infrastructure design across a range of sectors, while contributing to a friendly and collaborative office environment.

As a Senior Civil Engineer, you will work both independently and as part of larger design teams, producing highways, drainage and infrastructure solutions that meet the latest British Standards, DMRB guidance and statutory design codes. You will oversee internal quality procedures, coordinate with contractors and external consultants, and support the commercial delivery of projects by managing timescales, budgets and technical outputs. You will also help guide less experienced engineers, ensuring consistent standards across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review civil engineering designs in accordance with industry standards.

  • Manage project delivery, ensuring quality, accuracy and commercial performance.

  • Coordinate with clients, design teams and contractors throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Supervise inspections, trial holes and site assessments when required.

  • Assist in mentoring junior engineers and contribute to fee proposals.

  • Attend client and design team meetings to ensure briefs are met.

  • Promote business development opportunities where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

  • At least five years' consultancy experience.

  • Strong knowledge of relevant British Standards and design codes.

  • Experience using Civil 3D, InfoDrainage and related design tools.

  • Full UK driving licence.
