- Conduct field surveys and site assessments to collect samples of soil, water, air, and other materials for analysis.
- Utilise environmental testing and monitoring equipment and tools.
- Record and manage data from field studies and laboratory tests.
Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyse environmental data using scientific methods and software.
- Assist with the preparation of detailed reports to summarise findings and recommendations.
- Assist in the development of environmental impact assessments and management plans.
- Manage sampling and monitoring regimes and junior staff undertaking these activities to ensure compliance with environmental permits and any other site-specific requirements.
What you'll need to succeed
- Practical understanding of wider regulations with respect to environmental protection.
- Full driving licence (minimum 2 years) and use of a car.
- Degree in Environmental Sciences, Earth Sciences, or another relevant subject within the field.
- Be able to build strong relationships with internal and external clients.
- Possess the technical skills required for the role, seek guidance when necessary, and remain competent in your own area of specialism.
- Be able to plan projects or work activities.
- Ability to manage project control, meet deadlines, plan resources, work within Health & Safety guidelines, and deliver quality output.
- Work well within a team.
- Positively influence and effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
- Commit to the success of the business, work with a positive attitude, and set a positive tone in the team/office environment.
What you'll get in return
