Client Details

Michael Page are working with a well-established, multi-entity business group based in Bangor. They're looking to appoint a Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller in running the day-to-day operations of the finance department, while also contributing to wider strategic goals across a diverse portfolio. You'll be a key figure in the finance function, managing a small team and ensuring accurate, timely reporting across multiple companies. The role balances hands-on financial oversight with leadership responsibility, offering visibility across senior stakeholders and exposure to both internal and external reporting requirements.

Description

The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:

  • Lead the production of monthly management accounts and reporting packs for multiple entities
  • Support statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit processes
  • Oversee day-to-day finance operations and cash management
  • Manage and mentor a small finance team, ensuring accurate delivery across the function
  • Take ownership of debtor reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and cash forecasting
  • Support the development and improvement of finance systems and procedures
  • Act as a key contact for technical accounting issues and internal queries
  • Contribute to ad-hoc analysis and strategic finance projects

Profile

The successful Finance Manager will be:

  • Part qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Confident operating in a multi-company environment with intercompany complexity
  • Technically strong with a solid grounding in UK GAAP
  • Comfortable balancing both strategic oversight and day-to-day operational demands
  • Experienced in managing and developing small teams
  • Commercially aware with sound judgement and excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive, organised, and capable of working independently and collaboratively
