They're looking to appoint a Finance Manager to support the Financial Controller in running the day-to-day operations of the finance department, while also contributing to wider strategic goals across a diverse portfolio. Description
The key responsibilities of the Finance Manager include:
- Lead the production of monthly management accounts and reporting packs for multiple entities
- Support statutory accounts preparation and year-end audit processes
- Oversee day-to-day finance operations and cash management
- Manage and mentor a small finance team, ensuring accurate delivery across the function
- Take ownership of debtor reporting, intercompany reconciliations, and cash forecasting
- Support the development and improvement of finance systems and procedures
- Act as a key contact for technical accounting issues and internal queries
- Contribute to ad-hoc analysis and strategic finance projects
Profile
The successful Finance Manager will be:
- Part qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
- Confident operating in a multi-company environment with intercompany complexity
- Technically strong with a solid grounding in UK GAAP
- Comfortable balancing both strategic oversight and day-to-day operational demands
- Experienced in managing and developing small teams
- Commercially aware with sound judgement and excellent attention to detail
- Proactive, organised, and capable of working independently and collaboratively
