Job Description:

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Medical Physiotherapist to join a dynamic and supportive team based in Bangor, Wales. This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist looking to further develop their clinical skills within a medical setting. The successful candidate will be working as part of a multidisciplinary team, delivering high-quality physiotherapy services to inpatients with a variety of complex medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive physiotherapy assessment and treatment to patients within a medical ward environment.
  • Manage a caseload of patients with acute and chronic medical conditions including respiratory, cardiovascular, and general medical cases.
  • Develop and implement individualised treatment plans and rehabilitation programmes to support recovery and hospital discharge.
  • Work collaboratively with doctors, nurses, occupational therapists, and other allied health professionals to ensure integrated patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely patient records in line with NHS and HCPC standards.
  • Participate in discharge planning and liaise with community services where appropriate.
  • Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Provide clinical supervision and mentoring to junior staff and students as required.

Essential Requirements:

  • HCPC registered Physiotherapist.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-graduate experience, with at least 6 months in a medical or acute setting.
  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently and make sound clinical decisions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience in respiratory physiotherapy including chest clearance techniques.
  • Familiarity with NHS systems and documentation.
  • Previous experience working within a multi-disciplinary team in a hospital setting.
