As a QTS English Teacher, your responsibilities will include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and differentiated English lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and potentially Key Stage 5, depending on your experience and the school's needs).
- Cultivating a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages active participation, creativity, and critical analysis.
- Utilizing a diverse range of teaching methodologies and resources to cater to various learning styles and ensure all students achieve their full potential.
- Assessing, recording, and reporting on student progress in accordance with school policies.
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of the English curriculum and resources.
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the English department and across the school.
- Maintaining high standards of classroom management and promoting positive student behaviour.
- Contributing to the wider life of the school through extracurricular activities or pastoral support (desirable).
What We Are Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- A strong degree in English Language, English Literature, or a related field.
- A deep passion for the English language and literature, with the ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Proven experience in planning and delivering effective and engaging English lessons.
- Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive and productive learning atmosphere.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- A commitment to ongoing professional development and a desire to stay abreast of current educational best practices.
