An established and growing UK-based manufacturing company in the architectural and specialist glass sector is seeking a Finance Manager to lead its finance operations. This is a key leadership role within a dynamic business that prides itself on delivering high-quality products to commercial clients across the UK.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing 2 staff, accounts assistant & purchase ledger clerk

  • Managing cash flow for two companies

  • Bank reconciliations for all bank accounts

  • Managing supplier payments and direct debits

  • Raising sales invoices

  • Supervising chasing of outstanding debt, including monthly project sales applications

  • Chasing release of retentions

  • Supervision & review (and preparation when necessary) of weekly/monthly payrolls and year end close down

  • Preparation of monthly management accounts, including analysis of project costs & liaison with surveyors

  • Supervision of quarterly VAT Returns

  • Preparation of P11d’s

  • ONS reporting as required

  • Management of credit insurance limits

  • Management of accounting software packages

  • Liaising with external accountant

  • Liaising with bank

  • Liaising with Directors

Key Requirements
  • Experience running finance ops within an SME environment

  • Accounting qualification preferred but not essential

  • Construction experience is highly desirable
