Permanent Teacher of Chemistry (KS5 Specialist) - Outstanding Barking School (Chemistry Department)
An outstanding school in Barking is seeking a passionate and expert Permanent Teacher of Chemistry to join our dynamic Chemistry Department. This role will primarily focus on inspiring our Sixth Form students to excel in A-Level Chemistry and develop a deep understanding of the molecular world through rigorous scientific inquiry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and challenging Chemistry lessons primarily to A-Level students.
- Foster a deep and critical understanding of advanced chemical concepts, theories, and practical skills.
- Contribute to the development and enhancement of the A-Level Chemistry curriculum within the Chemistry Department.
- Assess and monitor student progress at A-Level, providing expert guidance and support for their academic success and progression to higher education in chemistry and related fields.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the Chemistry Department, sharing best practices in A-Level Chemistry teaching and assessment.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A strong degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.

- Comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of the A-Level Chemistry specification and assessment requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills, specifically tailored to engaging and challenging Sixth Form students.
