Our Outstanding school in the culturally rich borough of Newham, London, seeks a dedicated and experienced Teacher of Music to join our thriving Arts department and make a real difference to the musical education and engagement of our students across all Key Stages.

Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Planning, preparing, and delivering engaging and effective Music lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs of our students across Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially 5, reflecting the musical diversity of Newham.
  • Developing students' musical skills in performance, composition, listening, and appraisal.
  • Contributing to the vibrant extracurricular music program, including instrumental ensembles and vocal groups.
  • Assessing and tracking student progress in Music, providing constructive feedback, and implementing effective intervention strategies where necessary.
  • Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the Arts department and across the wider school.
  • Utilizing and contributing to the development of high-quality musical resources and technology.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
