An outstanding school in Barking is seeking a talented and ambitious Permanent Teacher of History to join our dedicated History Department. This role presents an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact on the historical understanding and analytical skills of our students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with a clear pathway and expectation to contribute to the teaching of A-Level History in our Sixth Form.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver well-structured and engaging History lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4, building a strong foundation for future success in the subject.
- Nurture students' abilities in historical inquiry, source analysis, and essay writing, fostering a love of learning about the past.
- Collaborate effectively with colleagues within the History Department on curriculum development and assessment across all key stages, with a view to contributing to A-Level provision.
- Monitor student progress closely, providing effective support and guidance, with a focus on preparing students for the rigours of A-Level History.
- Demonstrate a strong interest and commitment to developing the skills and knowledge required to teach A-Level History.

Qualifications & Experience:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
