Full-Time Teacher of Mathematics Required - Outstanding London School (September 2025 Start - Key Stage 3, 4 & 5 Essential)
Our Outstanding mixed comprehensive school in London seeks a dedicated and experienced Full-Time Teacher of Mathematics to join our thriving department and make a profound difference to the numerical understanding, analytical prowess, and problem-solving capabilities of our students across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4, and, crucially, Key Stage 5, commencing in September 2025.
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Planning, preparing, and delivering highly effective and stimulating Mathematics lessons that cater to the diverse learning needs and aspirations of our students across all key stages.
- Fostering students' deep understanding of key mathematical concepts, procedures, and applications, with a strong emphasis on the comprehensive demands of the GCSE and A-Level specifications (including Pure Maths, Mechanics, and Statistics).
- Encouraging rigorous logical reasoning, independent problem-solving, and precise mathematical communication.
- Assessing and tracking student progress in Mathematics across all key stages, providing insightful and constructive feedback, and implementing effective intervention strategies to ensure exceptional outcomes, particularly for GCSE and A-Level students.
- Contributing actively to the development, implementation, and rigorous review of the Mathematics curriculum across all key stages, ensuring alignment with examination specifications and providing extensive opportunities for mathematical enrichment and challenge.
- Utilising and contributing to the development of high-quality Mathematics resources, including textbooks, online platforms, and engaging practical activities.
- Contributing to extracurricular activities that promote mathematical understanding and enjoyment within the school community (e.g., Maths club, competitions, support clinics).
- Collaborating effectively with colleagues within the Mathematics department and across the wider school to foster a rich and interdisciplinary learning environment.
- Engaging in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practice and keep abreast of current developments in mathematical education and research, with a strong focus on A-Level teaching and assessment.
The Ideal Candidate Will Possess:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A degree in Mathematics or a closely related highly relevant field.
- Successful and demonstrable experience teaching Mathematics across Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 (GCSE), and, crucially, Key Stage 5 (A-Level).
- A strong and up-to-date understanding of the GCSE and A-Level Mathematics and Further Mathematics curricula and relevant examination specifications.
- Exceptional pedagogical skills and the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners, particularly the academic rigour and depth required at Key Stage 5.
- A profound passion for Mathematics and the ability to inspire and stretch students' numerical, analytical, and logical reasoning abilities.
- Outstanding communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
