About the roleMainstream primary schools in Barking and Dagenham are looking to appoint Teaching assistants
This will be across different year groups in KS1 and KS2, and therefore your preference will be considered.
You will be working with pupils with SEN when needed on a 1-2-1 basis supporting them in the classroom throughout the day.
You will-
-Be supporting pupils with their learning where needed
-Be able to identify pupils needs throughout the day
-Work with the class teacher and SENDCO to support the pupils learning and adjust work where needed
-Follow pupils routines throughout the day
-Support the class teacher when needed, and work collaboratively with other members of staff
About the schoolThe schools expect their support staff to be able to work collaboratively, be flexible, be able to work off their own initiative and be punctual.
RequirementsTo be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistants you will:
- Have a DBS on the updated service
- Be able to work Monday-Friday
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
- Experience working with SEN pupils
As SEN Teaching Assistants you will be responsible for:
- Supporting pupils in the classroom throughout the day
- Working with the class teacher and SENDCO to ensure the pupil is receiving all the support needed
- Providing feedback to staff, monitoring progress of the pupil
