Milk Education is partnering with a prestigious independent day school in Barnet to recruit a dedicated Head of Admissions & Marketing Administrator. This role is pivotal in shaping the school's public image and managing the admissions process, ensuring a seamless experience for prospective families. The position commences in May 2025 on a temporary basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role from September 2025.

The Role

As the Head of Admissions & Marketing Administrator, you will be the first point of contact for prospective families and the public, ensuring that the admissions journey is welcoming, personalised, and efficient. You will also play a strategic and hands-on role in managing the school’s brand, digital presence, events, and communications.

Key Responsibilities

Admissions:

  • Lead and manage the full admissions cycle from enquiry to enrolment, ensuring excellent customer service.

  • Organise and deliver school open days, tours, assessment days, and admissions events.

  • Monitor and report on admissions trends, conversion rates, and forecasting.

  • Maintain accurate and GDPR-compliant pupil records and communications.

  • Liaise with senior leaders, parents, and external agencies.

  • Process UK and international applications, ensuring legal and visa compliance.

Marketing:

  • Plan, implement, and evaluate the school’s marketing strategy aligned with the school development plan.

  • Oversee the school website, social media, digital marketing, and offline campaigns.

  • Develop print and online communications, newsletters, and marketing materials.

  • Manage the brand identity and editorial standards across all school channels.

  • Build relationships with feeder schools, press contacts, and community organisations.

  • Promote key events, achievements, and activities to enhance visibility and reputation.

The Ideal Candidate
  • Warm, approachable, and confident with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, can-do approach to problem-solving and multitasking.

  • Previous experience in school admissions, marketing, or a customer-focused education role is highly desirable.

  • Strong organisational and IT skills, including CRM systems, social media platforms, and Microsoft Office.

  • A keen eye for branding, digital content, and written communications.

  • A positive, proactive team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is comfortable working flexibly, including occasional evenings and Saturdays.

  • Degree-level education or equivalent professional experience.
