As a Science Technician, you’ll support the smooth running of practical science lessons, ensuring that equipment, safety procedures, and resources are in place to deliver an engaging and safe learning experience. Whether you're experienced in school settings or coming from a laboratory background, this role offers the chance to make a daily impact in a thriving educational environment.
 Key Responsibilities of the Science Technician:-
Prepare and organise materials and equipment for science experiments across biology, chemistry, and physics.

Maintain and clean laboratory tools and workspaces.

Monitor inventory and ensure appropriate stock levels for teaching resources.

Follow health and safety regulations, including safe chemical handling and disposal procedures.

Provide practical support to teaching staff during lessons when required.

Support students in using equipment safely and effectively during practical tasks.

Keep laboratory areas compliant with COSHH and school policies.

Contribute actively to the department’s collaborative and professional ethos as a Science Technician.

Previous experience in a school science department or laboratory setting.

A sound understanding of lab safety, chemicals, and science apparatus.

Relevant science qualifications (minimum A-Level preferred).

A team player with excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.

Confidence in working with students and supporting the delivery of science education.

A proactive attitude and a strong sense of responsibility.

A valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service (or willingness to obtain one).
