An ambitious and high-achieving secondary school in Barnet is seeking a talented and motivated Second in Charge (2i/c) of Business Studies to join their team in September 2025.

About the Role
As 2i/c of Business Studies, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Head of Department to drive excellence and innovation within the Business Studies faculty. You will help lead curriculum development, mentor colleagues, and deliver outstanding lessons to inspire students at KS4 and KS5.

Key Responsibilities - 2i/c Business Studies
•    Assist the Head of Business Studies in leading and managing the department
•    Contribute to the design and delivery of a dynamic, engaging Business Studies curriculum
•    Support and mentor teaching staff, including ECTs
•    Monitor student progress and help implement strategies for improvement
•    Teach Business Studies across KS4 and KS5 to a high standard

The Ideal Candidate - 2i/c Business Studies
•    Holds UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – Essential
•    Has recent, successful UK-based teaching experience in Business Studies
•    Demonstrates strong subject knowledge and a passion for business education
•    Has experience or ambition to lead and support colleagues
•    Possesses excellent organisational and communication skills
•    Is committed to raising standards and supporting students of all abilities
