We are seeking a qualified and experienced Environmental Health / Food Safety Officer to carry out official food hygiene and standards inspections in accordance with the Food Law Code of Practice for Category C & D premises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct food hygiene and standards inspections for Category C & D premises.
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety legislation and regulations.
- Provide advice and guidance to businesses on food safety best practices.
- Prepare accurate inspection reports and maintain records in line with statutory requirements.
- Work with colleagues to identify trends, risks, and areas for improvement.
Requirements:
- Appropriate qualification in Environmental Health or Food Safety.
- Experience in food hygiene inspections and regulatory enforcement.
- Knowledge of the Food Law Code of Practice.
- Strong communication and report-writing skills.
