We are working with a wonderful SEN school in Barnet who are looking for a number of SEMH Teaching Assistants from January 2026 to support children with social, emotional, and mental health needs on a 1:1 and small group basis.
Location: Barnet, London
Start Date: January 2026
Role: SEMH Teaching Assistant
Contract: Full-time, long-term
Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
Pay Rate: £110–£120 per day (umbrella)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support for pupils with SEMH needs
- Assist in implementing behaviour and emotional regulation strategies
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to promote pupil progress
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
About You:
- Previous experience supporting children with SEMH needs
- Ability to manage challenging behaviour calmly and effectively
- Passionate about making a difference in SEN education
