Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Clinical Admin Assistant to support the processing of clinical correspondence and patient-related actions using the Anima system. This role involves reviewing clinical letters, identifying follow-up actions, and coordinating tasks with relevant team members. Full training on the Anima system will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and code information from clinical letters and patient correspondence.
  • Identify required follow-up actions based on clinical content.
  • Task appropriate staff members (e.g., clinicians, nurses, admin teams) to complete necessary actions.
  • Track and manage the completion of those actions through the Anima system.
  • Arrange investigations such as blood tests, imaging, or other diagnostics where needed.
  • Book and manage patient appointments in line with clinical priorities.
  • Maintain accurate records of all actions taken.
  • Communicate effectively with clinical and administrative teams.

Essential Skills & Attributes:

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Ability to understand and interpret clinical language (with training if needed).
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Confident using IT systems and learning new software (Anima training provided).

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a healthcare or GP practice setting.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology or clinical coding.
  • Experience with patient management systems or electronic workflow tools.
