An enthusiastic and well-qualified Science Teacher with a specialism in Physics is required for a temporary part-time position at a well-regarded Independent school in Barnet, commencing in September. The successful candidate will deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Physics to students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) on [Specify Days/Hours if known, e.g., three afternoons per week].
Responsibilities
- They will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging Science lessons with a focus on Physics to Key Stages 3 and 4.
- The role involves effectively teaching physical concepts, adhering to the school's curriculum.
- They will foster a stimulating and inquiry-based learning environment for physics.
- Assessment and monitoring of student progress in Science (Physics), along with providing feedback, will be required.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Physics or Science with a strong Physics background is essential.
- Experience teaching Science lessons with a focus on Physics at Key Stages 3 and 4 is desirable.
- A solid understanding of physical principles is expected.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills are necessary.
