ASSISTANT QUANTITY SURVEYOR (WOULD CONSIDER TRAINEE/ GRADUATE QUANTITY SURVEYORS ALSO)

A growing high end contractor are seeking an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join their team. The role will be based in their office Herts/ North London area working on high end, listed buildings, heritage and refurbishment projects in London.

They would also consider graduates or trainees provided you have the relevant degree qualifications.

There is genuine progression within the business along with working on very nice and interesting projects.

DUTIES:

• Produce and send enquiries to subcontractors inviting them to tender and engagement with supply chain

• Receive and analyse quotations, liaising with Commercial Manager & Contracts Managers regarding price, proven history, availability etc.

• Produce and process formal subcontract documents and certify interim and final payments and final subcontract account

• Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes

• Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts e.g. interim/final applications for

payment/final accounts/payments for late monies etc. liaising where necessary with the relevant

people

• Prepare and coordinate labour only payments

• Produce relevant monthly reports for the Commercial Manager e.g. cost and value comparisons,

ensuring information is complete and accurate

• Contribute to and attend financial and progress meetings with the clients and subcontractors as

required

• Provide advice and support to the site team in order to optimise the use of contract resources

• Provide support for the Commercial & Contracts Manager in terms of data input, job costs, labour allocations etc

• Give feedback to the team with regard to contract pricing, projected profit/loss, pricing omissions

etc.

• Maintain accurate records

• Site visits, assessments and projections for future works

• Contribute to the delivery of all confirmed project tasks and goals

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Must have construction related degree
