About the School – Art / Photography Teacher – Barnet, North West London
- This secondary school has approximately 260 male students on roll from Year 7 to 13. It is an independent grammar school, following the Jewish ethos. Staff do not need to be Jewish and of faith themselves to work at this school. The school recently had Ofsted and continues to be “Inadequate” currently going through positive changes and hopes to come out of this Ofsted result, with the support of a new senior leadership team. The school has implemented positive changes to behaviour management policies to help improve the challenging behaviour staff currently face in the school. The school has recently undergone refurbishments to improve the premises of the school.
About the Role – Art / Photography Teacher – Barnet, North West London
The Art department is one which has been built since 2020 and boasts strong numbers at GCSE and A-Level. Results are strong at GCSE and the first A-Level cohort was certified in 2023 There is only one Art / photography teacher in the department, being this role to be filled. The candidate must be able to teach Photography and have a good track record for teaching, and GCSE recruits The school requires an Art / photography teacher who can continue to build on this success. You should have strong subject knowledge of Art KS3 to KS5 and photography KS5. You will be responsible for the implementation and development of the Art/Photography curriculum in line with the latest pedagogical and subject based research. The ideal teacher will hold Qualified Teacher Status, although a teacher with the right experience but no QTS will also be considered.
