A knowledgeable and engaging History Teacher is required to join a well-regarded Independent school in Barnet for a permanent position commencing ASAP. The successful candidate will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 (aged 11-16) with a fascination for the past and develop their critical thinking skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver captivating HistoryTeacher lessons to students in Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students effectively for GCSE History examinations, ensuring a strong understanding of historical concepts and interpretations.
- Cultivate a dynamic learning environment that encourages historical inquiry, debate, and the analysis of sources.
- Assess and monitor student progress in History, providing insightful feedback to enhance their understanding.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in History.
- Demonstrated experience teaching History Teacher lessons at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- A strong and comprehensive knowledge of British and world history.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, capable of bringing historical events to life for students.
