Your new companyOur client in Barnsley are seeking a Senior Accounts Assistant to take ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all transactions. You'll also play a key role in generating financial reports, supporting month-end close activities, support the Directors with financial reporting as well and contribute to the smooth running of the finance function.

Office-based role with flexible working options - permanent opportunity, £30,000+

Your new role

  • Uploading invoices through various platforms.
  • Process financial transactions and generate reports.
  • Supporting the finance team with productivity reporting and analysis.
  • Taking ownership of the purchase ledger process from start to finish, including supplier payments
  • Managing weekly sales data
  • Handling day-to-day sales ledger tasks, including raising and sending invoices to a range of clients.
  • Chasing and checking proof of delivery documents, and updating records where needed.
  • Support with month-end and year-end processes

What you'll need to succeed

To succeed in this role, we're seeking an experienced and driven finance professional with a strong understanding of end-to-end purchase ledger processes. The ideal candidate will have solid all-round accounts knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
