  • Accurately transcribe dictations (audio and written) and prepare legal documents to a high standard.
  • Draft, format, edit, and review a variety of legal documents, ensuring compliance with current legal practices and internal procedures.
  • Conduct client interviews and take statements, ensuring clear, accurate, and confidential record-keeping.
  • Organise, review, and prepare medical records and supporting documentation for legal use.
  • Act as a first point of contact for clients-handling enquiries with empathy, professionalism, and discretion via phone, email, and in-person.
  • Efficiently direct incoming calls and messages to the relevant team members.
  • Maintain well-organised filing systems (both physical and digital) to ensure easy and secure access to client files and legal documents.
  • Schedule and manage appointments, proactively resolving diary conflicts and providing timely reminders where necessary.
  • Support the preparation of court bundles and documentation ahead of hearings and trials.
  • Provide a broad range of administrative support to ensure efficient office operations and high levels of service delivery.
What We're Looking For:
  • Previous experience as a Legal Secretary or Legal Assistant-experience in Private Client/Wills & Probate law is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent typing and transcription skills with a high level of speed and accuracy.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Clear and professional communication skills-both written and verbal.
  • A client-focused attitude and the ability to deal with sensitive matters with tact and discretion.
