My client, a large, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is searching for a Graduate Civil Engineer with a focus on Flood Risk and Drainage to join their growing team of engineering and design experts, near the exciting, northern Market Town of Barnsley.

Essential Criteria:

A Degree in Civil Engineering
Knowledge of flood risk and drainage strategies, including Flood Risk Assessments (FRAs), and Sustainable Drainage Systems (SuDS)
Working knowledge of the relevant Section Agreements (including S104, S106, etc.)
Knowledge of InfoWorks ICM, TUFLOW, Flood Modeller, InfoDrainage, and other software packages
The ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team
A willingness to learn and consistently develop technical skills through direct, hands-on experience

It would also be beneficial for applicants for the role of Graduate Civil Engineer to have the following:

Some professional experience, particularly with flood risk and drainage
Working knowledge of a range of additional relevant software packages
A demonstrable commitment to improving your knowledge and skills in the field
Excellent time management and communication skills

Contributing to a range of flood risk and drainage strategy projects
Working with the wider team to ensure project goals are delivered to the highest standard, and delivered within given timeframes
Undertaking the relevant technical analysis using software packages
Preparing and issuing accurate technical information regarding projects, including calculations, models, and drawings
Liaising with clients and other stakeholders
Contributing to and carrying out site meetings and inspections
Developing and maintaining client relations, across the public and private sectors
Contributing to projects, adhering to industry standards, designated budgets, and agreed timelines
