Metalis are working with a well-established manufacturer. They supply a wide range of sectors and due to an influx in production orders, the company are looking to hire a Fettler to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate hand and power tools to clean, grind, and finish fabricated metal components.
  • Use oxy-fuel cutting torches to fill holes, cut, trim, and prepare metals to required specifications.
  • Remove excess welds, burrs, and sharp edges to ensure a safe and high-quality finish.
  • Follow drawings and instructions accurately.
  • Work to production deadlines while maintaining a high standard of safety and quality.
  • Carry out routine safe operation checks on tools and equipment.

Key Requirements:

  • Previous experience in fettling and burning torch operation (essential).
  • Strong understanding of workshop safety procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings.
  • Good attention to detail and commitment to quality.
  • Physically fit and able to work in a busy fabrication environment.
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.

Shifts:

There is an option of either days or Afternoons (4-day working week)

Day Hours: 06.00am - 16.30pm Mon-Thursday (Pay is 12.99 - 13.49 per hour depending on experience)

Late Hours: 16.30pm - 03.00am Mon-Thursday pay is 12.99-21.69)
