The Project Liaison Officer role:
Are you passionate about delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services while ensuring the safety and well-being of our customers? If so, we have an exciting secondment opportunity for a Repairs and Maintenance Manager to join our Property Services department!
In this role, you’ll lead repairs and maintenance operations with a right-first-time approach, develop maintenance programmes, oversee projects, and drive performance within the team and contractors.
You’ll also contribute to the Property Services review by identifying development areas, meaningfully challenging processes, and driving business improvements with your ability to persuade key stakeholders through evidence-based advice

Key duties and responsibilities of our Project Liaison Officer role:
- To provide an on-site presence as required preventing and/or resolving customer problems. Identify and signpost repair and vulnerability issues accordingly.
- Carry out lone visits to customer homes to conduct comprehensive tenant inductions before major works, carry out any required follow up visits during the works and a redecoration allowance assessment visit following completion of the works.
- To consult with residents and local members on an individual and collective basis at all stages of project development and delivery.
- To work closely and build excellent working relationships with officers from other Services, contractors and agencies to assist the smooth running of investment and regeneration schemes.
- To have responsibility under the supervision of the Project Manager, for the delivery of schemes, initiatives and programmes ensuring project timetables, budgets and briefs are adhered to.
- To prepare and present reports to senior officers, members and partners as required.
What we’re looking for in our Project Liaison Officer:
- NVQ Level 3 / equivalent qualifications or proven extensive experience.
- Demonstrate a positive, flexible approach to team working.
- Experience of working with software packages including Microsoft office and bespoke databases.
- Ability to accurately prepare and present information concisely and clearly.
- Demonstrate the ability to look for solutions and make decisions in a changing environment.
