CLASS 1 TRAMPER

WORKING DAYS BETWEEN MONDAY - SATURDAY

START TIMES BETWEEN 04:00 - 09:00

£16.00 - £18.00 PER HOUR

£25.00 PER NIGHT OUT

People Solutions are recruiting Class 1 Trampers to join our well-established client based in Barnsley.

We are looking for drivers with the flexibility to stay out all week with the occasional Saturday running back in.

There will be occasional day work available.

Rates of pay

• Monday to Friday: £16.00 per hour
• Saturday £18.00 per hour
• £25.00 per night out

Day to Day Duties

• Be prepared for various shift lengths
• Operate curtain side vehicles
• Comply with driving rules and laws
• Ensure cab is well presented at all times
• Be prepared to use a tail lift
• Complete on time deliveries
• Deliver to other depots and building sites
• Ensure your load is secured correctly

Essential Skills

• Hold a valid UK CE licence
• Have at least twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points and no major endorsement codes
• Have an in date UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Experience operating various trailer types
• Data on your tacho card from the last 60 days
• Be prepared for handball
• Good time keeping
• Good communication skills
• Can do attitude

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience working on a general haulage contract is desirable but not essential.

What training is provided?

• Written and driving assessments may be required for this role
• Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
